NEW MEMBERS
PAPA President Gil Dellinger announced the induction of four Signature Members in the group. "Kathleen Dunphy, Andy Evansen, Joseph McGurl and Randall Sexton have participated in past PAPA exhibitions and will contribute substantially to PAPA's reputation as the most prominent plein-air painting group in the country," Dellinger said. AMERICAN LEGACY--OUR NATIONAL PARKS
PAPA's 22nd Exhibition and Sale opens at at the  Dane G. Hansen Memorial Museum, Logan, KA, April 5-June 16, 2013. More than 90 paintings document 35 units in the National Park Service. Future venues are listed in the Press Room.  To view the entire exhibition, please go to The Haggin Museum web site, which organized the exhibit. A 92-page color catalog illustrates all the artworks from 35 National Park Service units/artists, including a historical essay by Jean Stern, Executive Director of the Irvine Museum. CELEBRATING SUMMER!
PAPA's upcoming exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum, Wausau, WI, opens with a weekend of events starting June 21, 2013. We are celebrating summer and will have more information about works on view and for sale, as well as weekend events and a workshop. Stay tuned! Frank LaLumia won Best of Show for (left) The Matachine Princess (watercolor, 22x30) at the Aquarius National Watercolor Exhibition 2012. The show hangs through January 14, 2013, at the Sangre de Cristo Art Center in Pueblo, CO.

 

MONUMENTAL MINATURES III
Lynn Gertenbach and Jean LeGassick are part of this California Art Club sponsored show at Old Mill Gallery, San Marino, CA, through January 6, 2013.

 

ONE RANDOM DAY
Tuesday, August 28th, was the day in 2012 drawn from a hat that 22 artists from Knowlton Gallery, Lodi, CA, were invited to paint on. "I wanted to find a different twist to an end-of-the-year show," says Robin Knowlton. The exhibition is on view through January 15, 2013.
